Only those applicants with complete application packets including all questions on the application answered, clear judicial record, and minimum GPAs will be considered for open positions.

The term of this appointment is for one academic year (or one semester if appointment is made in the middle of the academic year), beginning approximately 14 days prior to the official opening of the University and ending the day following commencement.

To hold a Resident Advisor position throughout the academic year, a student must fulfill the following criteria: 1) exemplary job performance evidenced by positive performance evaluations; 2) supervisor recommendations; 3) positive role-modeling; 4) conduct that does not violate any policy of the University and/or Housing and Residence Life; and 5) maintaining the required academic standards of this position (minimum of 2.5 Semester and Cumulative GPA).

  • I have read the Resident Advisor Job Description and I understand the Resident Advisor position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week time commitment, the ability to meet weeknight/weekend duty schedules and the ability to attend RA training before Fall (early August) and Spring (early January) Semesters.

REMINDER: HOUSING APPLICATION:

You must have a valid housing application to be hired as an RA; this includes submitting the $200 prepayment.  As the prepayment is non-refundable, if your desire to live on campus is contingent upon the RA position, you may consider waiting to submit a housing application and prepayment until after you receive notification about your employment as an RA.  Regardless, if you do not have a completed housing application at the deadline, you will not be eligible to be an RA for the 2014-2015 academic year.
